Cool Things I Got From Races: Friends Of Glenn Oak Zoo 5k Run

I love this hat, it is one of those gently worn things that are your favorite things and your spouse wants you to throw away. In the summer I usually wear a ball cap while running to keep the sweat out of my eyes. If it is really hot I will wear a white mesh ball cap. The rest of year I wear this one I got from the Zoo Run. This great little 5k run is all in the Glen Oak Zoo in Peoria, IL.
This race has some hills in it. Part of the course is also used in the Illinois Valley Striders Steamboat 15K, which is partially, ran on roads in Glen Oak Park.
