This 5K run or walk is geared toward the entire family.
Compete in the 5K run for the coveted handcarved wooden boot
trophy, symbolic of the Swedish Stomp, or just enjoy a morning
walk along the quiet streets and bucolic countryside that makes
this historic village so unique.

Children age 6 and under are invited to participate in the
1/3K Skamperoo, a fun way for all to participate in this ever
growing wholesome event. Registration beginas at 7 a.m. and Race
time is 9 a.m. The Skamperoo is scheduled for 10 a.m. Come early
and make a day of it.

The Swedish Stomp is a timed 5 kilmeter race open to all
runners age 7 to 107. Registration and entry fees paid prior to
the day of the race are $14 which includes a Stomp T-shirt.
Reigstration and entry fees the day of the race are $16 and
includes a Stomp T-shirt. Runners age 7 to 19 can enter for half
praice. Medals for the 13 age groups will be awarded. A food
table of fruits, muffins, and authentic Swedish pickled herring
will be available to all entrants.

Sponsored by the Bishop Hill Old Settlers’ Association,
this 13th annual Swedish Stomp is held as a fundraising event
with proceeds used for the preservation and maintenance of the
Old Colony School.
