Going the Distance 5K & 1M Fun Run/Walk

The 14th Annual Legs for Literacy 5K Run and Walk is being held on Sunday, May 16th, 2010 at 9:00 A.M. All proceeds benefit the Cabrini-Green Tutoring Program (www.cabrinigreentutoring.org). The 5K begins and ends along Cannon Drive near Diversey Harbor, finishing just across from the Peggy Notebaert Museum in Chicago. Pre-race registration for adults is $25 along with a new or gently used children's book. Foundation of International Medical Relief of Children is hosting a 5K run to help raise money for HIV testing strips to send to a Ugandan medical clinic

Date: April 11, 2010
Time: Registration 9:45, race begins 10:30
Where: University of Illinois in Champaign on the main quad (corner of wright and green)
Cost: $11 in advance, $15 on race day
